"First-Year College Autism Academic Booster Sessions"
"A 90 minute private strategy session for autistic first-year college students who want to understand their patterns, build better systems, and leave with a plan for the semester ahead."
Kelvin Smith, a PhD level autistic adult with lived experience is uniquely positioned
to provide both expert academic guidance and authentic mentorship. College is overwhelming for any student but for autistic students with executive functioning challenges, it can quietly derail grades, confidence, and mental health.
The College Autism Academic Booster Sessions:
First-year focus offers a safe, supportive space where autism students work with Kelvin to make sense of college expectations and build simple systems that fit their brain.
These targeted booster sessions offer immediate strategy, organization, and academic planning for students.
In this session , we will:
(1) Identify hidden patterns that affect school success like stress points, overload triggers, and stuck spots.
(2) Build self-advocacy language for professors, disability services, and campus support.
(3) Review systems and tools that make college feel more manageable
(4) Create a clear first-year action plan the student can follow
Who Kelvin helps:
1. First-year autistic college students
2. Students who are anxious about starting college.
3. Students who know they need support but don't know what kind.
4. Students who want a private, guided, nonjudgmental space to get organized before the semester gets busy.
Why his approach feels different:
This isn't a one-size-fits-all study skills class. Your student works with Kelvin who truly "gets it"-an autistic PhD coach who understands what it's like to have a fast, capable mind and still struggle with things like time, organization, and overload. Together, Kelvin and the student will share strategies that respect their wiring, honor their strengths, and build real confidence. This is a signature "College Launch Session", not just a coaching call.
